Hello. This is John Cole of SANTA FE oneheart. I'm introducing a very new concept to media and that is simply taking advantage of voice messaging. With voice messaging, we can transcribe your words from the voice and put it in the paper but don't leave phone numbers or contact information because this is something where just an open conversation to the community. Thank you very much for using this service and I hope to hear from you soon. Bye

Hello. I’m a Santa Fe resident. I just happen to be picking up the oneheart magazine and caught the article on David Korten. I think by far ... first of all it’s a fantastic superior article and I think by far it has really shed a lot of light on what’s going on. David Korten presents a lucid and profund description of our collective situation. The emerging crises do however paradoxically offer a “teachable” moment yet unless folk are able to deal with the underlying sadnes and related repressed emotion, they will remain stuck and disempowered to organize and respond to the growing threats posed by “the system” described by Korten. If we are open systems who feel our world, why would we not register grief and even despair? Much of the presumed public apathy stems from deep repressed feelings of distress, and so we drift towards catastrophe. Fortunately there are those among us who can still see clearly and seek to warn in the spirit of the ancient prophets of Israel. Their description and diagnosis of what need be done is most relevant to our time. Please keep providing a forum for Korten’s thought to be seriously engaged, and while you are at it, revisit the work of Johanna Macy and her ground breaking work, Despair and Empowerment.
